Association of Malaysian Optometrists(AMO) is a professional body representing all Optometrists in Malaysia. Currently, AMO had around 300 active members whilst there are actually 1000 active Optometrists in Malaysia. -sad-

Pembantu Penyelidik Optometri Diperlukan

Assalamualaikum wbt. dan salam sejahtera. 

1. Saya sedang mencari Pembantu Penyelidik (RA) untuk penyelidikan yang sedang dijalankan.
2. Kontrak selama 6 bulan hingga 12 bulan dengan kebarangkalian untuk lanjutan selama 6 - 12 bulan lagi.
3. Sebaik-baiknya pelajar yang akan menamatkan pengajian ijazah sarjana muda pada tahun ini dan berminat untuk melanjutkan pelajaran dalam Master (penyelidikan) dan Ph.D (penyelidikan) untuk optometri dan sains visual.

I am attending PhD Research Methodology Seminar organized by Institute of Leadership & Quality Management (ILQAM), UiTM. I am attending this seminar as part of the requirement for all recipient of UiTM scholarship. Phew.. A full 5 working days. I will lose 5 days of my precious research days. T_T

Scholarship

A scholarship is an award of financial aid for a student to further education. Scholarships are awarded on various criteria usually reflecting the values and purposes of the donor or founder of the award. (Wikipedia, retrieved 21 January 2012).


It is not easy to get a scholarship. For example, "Skim Tenaga Pengajar Muda (TPM)" Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). 


I had applied the scholarship since January 2011. It took UiTM eleven (11) months to process and inform me that I am succeeding in getting the scholarship. Alhamdulillah, at last I get a scholarship to fund my postgraduate study. Yup, after 11 months waiting and 3 semester of postgraduate study.


Now.. now.. Don't be happy yet. As the offer for the scholarship is only an offer and not yet finalized. Yup, I need to undergo various terms and conditions before I can get the TPM money. I need to go for medical check up, sit for International English Language Testing system (IELTS) examination, complete 4 copies of TPM covenant with 2 guarantor, fill up 2 copies of Security Form, go for a Research Methodology course organized by Institute of Leadership & Quality Management (iLQAM UiTM), open up a bank account at CIMB bank and fill up many more forms!


Up to now, 21 January 2012, I am yet to complete all the requirement above. =____="


Then, when will I get my TPM scholarship?
